 Our polyester Stormlite cloth has achieved worldwide aclaim for its strength and durability in events such as the Volvo Ocean Race. Woven with high tenacity 150 x 150 denier polyester, Stormlite 210 and 510 feature several unique properties which make this fabric the perfect choice for extreme sailing applications. As a hydrophobic fibre, polyester will not absorb water, ensuring that Stormlite chutes stay lighter compared to nylon. With significantly less stretch than wet nylon fibres, Stormlite sails retain their shape more effectively in extreme conditions.
