He has been an active yachtsman for 30 years and has sailed most keelboat classes, covering 25,000 sea miles in coastal and offshore races around New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands. Alastair has worked closely with Contender BV in the Spinnaker cloth development programme, culminating in the supply of downwind fabrics for the successful NZ Americas Cup Campaigns of 1995 and 2000. |
