Maxx Laminates revolutionised the sailmaking world with the introduction of the first asymmetrical fibre arrangement in a roll of sailcloth. With the introduction of second generation Maxx, the asymmetrical concept has evolved further with the addition of a fifth fibre at -70°. The introduction of this reversed-angle fibre at -70° to the weft absorbs tack and luff loads and eliminates the need to flip panels.

Maxx also sees the introduction of the unique Mainsail Maxx, with a completely new set of angles to allow panel orientation parallel to the boom. This improves the appearance of sails.

♦ Available for two design concepts: standard Cross cut designs and the unique opportunity to design parallel cut to the boom and waterline
♦ Reversed angle fibre for tack and luff loads eliminates the need to flip panels
♦ Fibre angles disperse loads cleanly into sail for the smoothest flying shape of any paneled sail
♦ Roll goods give sailmakers ability to respond to their customers´ orders rapidly by building Maxx sails
♦ Wide angular stability of Maxx laminates produces sails with an expanded working range
Maxx fibre orientation and cross-cut panel construction reduces shrinkage
♦ Multiple fibre angles provide excellent puncture- and tear-resistance

Maxx is available in the following range:
